Working at the intersection of clinical practice, workflow intelligence, human factors, and interoperable health IT to transform how care is delivered in AI‑augmented environments.
I design hands‑on curricula and integrate AI into teaching to promote evidence‑based, responsible use of technology by students and faculty.
My current work focuses on developing agentic AI tools that are explainable, interoperable, and keep humans in the loop, ready for real clinical workflows.
I have a medical degree from JIPMER, Puducherry (INDIA). After a year of residency in Psychiatry, I moved to the United States for my doctoral study.
I earned my PhD in Health Informatics from
McWilliams School of Biomedical Informatics at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston).
I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Center for Digital Health and Analytics at McWilliams School of Biomedical Informatics, Houston, TX.
